Region & terrain, automatically
Wind region from the 2021 national map (A0–A5, B1, B2, C, D), site elevation, and per-direction topographic multipliers sampled from real terrain up to 2 km upwind on all 8 bearings. No silent defaults — anything uncertain is asked, flagged, or blocked.

Regional speeds, climate change, per-region directional multipliers, terrain/height, shielding and topography — assembled per Eq. 2.2 with the 30 m/s floor, three return-period bases (NCC, AS/NZS 1170.0 App F, NZ), and serviceability V25 alongside ULS.
Surface & cladding pressures
Section 5 pressures for enclosed rectangular buildings — flat, gable and hip roofs, internal pressure scenarios including the cyclonic dominant-opening rule, and local cladding zones with net design pressures for fixings.
Reports & projects
A4 print-ready assessments with clause-referenced working, schematics and a sign-off title block. Projects are stored centrally with the exact report snapshot, searchable and exportable.
Verified against the standard itself
Every table in the calculation chain — regional wind speeds, direction multipliers, terrain/height multipliers, surface pressure coefficients — has been verified against the text of AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 (2024 consolidated reissue) and AS/NZS 1170.0, with the verification trail documented and 177 automated assertions guarding the engine.
This tool assists preliminary assessment only and is not a substitute for design by a qualified structural engineer. Wind region boundaries are queried from a third-party digitisation of Figure 3.1(A); confirm critical sites against the published standard.
